I like the freedom of expression that painting allows, reason why I like to create abstract and contemporary works. Color has meaning for me, which is why during the painting process I like to be guided by the colors that emerge. Even in works that are more realistic in nature, I like to play with and adapt the composition, change lines, add colors, or leave out parts to create negative space. I am particularly enamored by strong contrasting colors, resulting in dynamic and expressive works.
